Grant Evaluation and Scoring
The Foundation will evaluate all applications with the following considerations.
Completeness – is the application completed appropriately
Project Purpose – does the project align with the Foundations’ Mission and areas of interest
Organizational Health – Is the organization sustainable and viable
Clarity of the problem – is the proposal compelling and clearly defines the problem or need
Needs Statement – Is the need statement supported by data, research or other information
Project Feasibility – is the project plan realistic and can it be implemented successfully and timely
Innovation – does the applicant propose a new way of solving a problem
Leadership – does the organization have strong, experienced leadership
Staffing – does the organization have sufficient qualified staff to work the project
Track Record – does the organization have a successful history with other projects
Partnerships – does the organization have strong community partnerships
Budget – is the project budget specific, clear, reasonable and justifiable
Financial Management – does the applicant demonstrate sound financial management practices
Cost Effectiveness – is the project a good use of grant funds
Sustainable – is there a clear plan of how the project will continue after grant funds
Timeline – does the proposal clearly define the project timeline and when the funds will be expended
Community Impact – does the proposal clearly define the community impact and lasting change in the community
